“Home of the African Elephant”

The Amboseli National Park, which is crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, is one of Kenya’s most visited parks. The name “Amboseli” is derived from a Maasai term that means “salty dust,” and it is one of the greatest spots in Africa to see enormous herds of elephants up close. Nature enthusiasts may explore five distinct ecosystems here, including the dried-up bank of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, savannah, and woods. They may also visit the local Maasai population, which lives in the park’s vicinity, and learn about their real culture.
